IITs are all set to change the game and go international. The premier Indian institutions will be organizing the entrance tests for foreign nationals of different west Asian countries. JEE will be organized for students of 10 countries in 2017 including three SAARC nations, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, UAE, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Nepal. Exam centers will be set up in six countries.

IITs are doing their best to extend their grasp internationally but the norms will not be same for Indian students and foreign students. From the application process to the selection process, procedures for Indian and foreign nationals will be different.

Students appearing for JEE should note the following norms:

Indian Nationals Foreign Nationals
Eligibility Students must secure at least 75% aggregate marks in 12 th board exam or be in the top 20 percentile in 12 th exam score in order to be eligible for JEE Mains. Students must secure at least 75% aggregate marks in 12 th class or equivalent in order to be eligible for JEE Advanced.
Documents Students require Aadhaar Card with valid credentials issued by UIDAI to apply for JEE Mains. Students are required to upload their class 12 marksheet and certificate for 75 per cent cut-off, birth certificate, candidate’s identity proof, citizenship certificate and passport of both the parents for successful application.
Selection Procedure Students will have to clear JEE mains in order to be eligible for JEE advanced. Once they clear JEE advanced, they can appear for counseling and secure their seats. Students can appear directly for JEE Advanced and on clearing they will be allowed to appear for counseling and can secure their seats.
Seats The seats of Indian nationals will remain the same. Additional seats will be added to accommodate foreign nationals in IITs.

The official website of JEE Mains has been launched by CBSE and students must go through the norms to have an accurate understanding of the exam.
