Maharashtra School Holiday on January 29:The MaharashtraDeputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar,along with four other people,died in a fatal Learjet 45 crash in Baramati, Pune district, on January 28, 2026.The announcement has indicated a potential statewide day of mourning, which would lead to schools and colleges closing on January 29 in Maharashtra.The official confirmation about the school and college holiday has been announced on January 29. Historically, the Maharashtra government has announced public holidays or days of mourning to honour deceased senior leaders after they receive official confirmation through government orders.As of now, the school and college holiday has only been announced for January 29, and there is no holiday on January 30.
