JNU Delhi likely to launch 2 B.Tech courses for 2024-25 admissions, 3 M.Tech courses for next year

Jawaharlal Nehru University or JNU, one of the most prominent centres of education of higher education in the country has shared some good news for all engineering aspirants. The JNU’s School of Engineering will be launching three M.Tech courses from next year 2025 and two specialised B.Tech courses in the coming future.
The university will replace its old 5-year integrated M.Tech programme with these courses from the next term onwards. The decision has been taken in cognizance of the operational and placement-related challenges faced by the students and the university.
JNU will Introduce 3 M.Tech and 2 B.Tech Courses from Next Year
In a recent interview, Professor Ankit Chaudhary, Acting Dean, School of Engineering, JNU shared the launch of these courses in the near future. According to him, SoE has already agreed for the following M.Tech courses to be started from next year itself:
M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
M.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering
M.Tech in Material Science and Technology
He further added that admission to these PG engineering courses in JNU will be conducted through Centralised Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) only.
CCMT is a combined counselling process for M.Tech admissions in various engineering institutes i.e. IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISc, IIEST (Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology), and CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions). Participation in the CCMT Counselling process is confirmed through qualification in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores. Moreover, JNU is also in the discussion to introduce two B.Tech programs in Computers and related subjects in the coming years.
