Krishna University Signs MoU with IIT Bombay

Krishna University, Andhra Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) withIndian Institute of Technology, Mumbaion January 23, 2017, to offer courses through ‘Spoken Tutorial'. It is an initiative of Human Resource Development Ministry which is called as National Mission on Education. The MoU has been signed between Acharya Rama Krishna Rao, VC of Krishna University and Mohammad Kashim Khan of IIT Bombay.

Through this agreement, the students who are pursuing physics, chemistry, life sciences, computer science and other courses will have access to computing skills and computer languages through ‘Spoken Tutorial'. For this purpose, IIT Bombay developed audio and visual content in English as well as in other regional languages. Additionally, these courses will be offered free of cost.

On this occasion, Mr. Mohammad Khan indicated that they had trained around 1.2 lakh students in Andhra Pradesh on computing skills and computer languages through the ‘Spoken Tutorial' in the past six years.

He further added that IIT-Bombay's Spoken Tutorial will issue a certificate to those who complete these courses successfully. The courses which are being offered through Spoken Tutorial are recognised by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). IIT Bombay has designed all these courses and are among the sought after by the industry as well as software firms.

Acharya Krishna Rao expressed that students will have the opportunity to equip themselves with talents that are required in the industry. Therefore, students of KU, as well as affiliated colleges, shall utilise the opportunity and enroll themselves for receiving training in computer languages and computing skills.
