Law College of Rajasthan University Has BCI Affiliation, Clarifies Administration
- Five-year LLB students of Rajasthan University went on hunger strike alleging irregularities in admissions.
- Students claimed that the varsity has been running five-year LLB course without BCI affiliation since 2015.
Quashing all the rumours regarding the affiliation ofRajasthan University’s Law College, the administration has confirmed that the Law Faculty of the varsity is aBCI approvedand affiliated institute. The announcement comes days after five-year LLB students of the varsity sat on hunger strike alleging that theLaw College of Rajasthan Universitydid not have the mandatory affiliation ofBar Council of India (BCI).
Responding to the issue, the authorities of Law College confirmed that the varsity had admitted students legally for the academic sessions 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. The varsity also quashed rumours that the Law College has been functioning withoutBCI affiliationsince 2015. All the students who were admitted from 2015 to 2017 need not panic as the varsity received necessary permissions from the competent authorities, explained an official.

The varsity also pointed that they did not receive any official communication, letter or order fromBCIregarding withdrawal of affiliation to Law College. The authorities also assured the protesting students that the varsity would hire a sufficient number of faculty members.
On the other hand, some of the students pointed that if the varsity had the affiliation, it would have shown the necessary documents pertaining to BCI affiliation to stop the protest of students. However, the authorities did not do so and tried to give oral explanations justifying that Law College has BCI affiliation, said a student.
