The state has been under alert for rainfall for two days, August 19 and 20, and the chances for heavy rain in the state have now decreased. Some areas like Chandrapur, Amravati and Yavatmal will experience Heavy rainfall on August 21, while other parts, Akola, Nagpur, Wardha, Buldhana, Washim, and Gondia, are likely to experience thunderstorms with light rain. The state has been experiencing scattered rain with heavy rain in some parts of Mumbai and Thane; however, No School Holiday in Maharashtra on 21 August 2025 has been announced yet. All schools to remain open. However, in case of any sudden changes, the same shall be updated here.
