Javadekar recently announced that a National Conference on Education is scheduled to be held in March next year. He also announced that those who have come up with new experiences and innovations would be felicitated there.

The winter session of the parliament is in logjam ever since its opening day following the protests of the opposition parties over the demonetization issue and also tough stand taken by the ruling party members while slinging mud blame to the opposition.

If the opposition and ruling party members of parliament are nonchalant over the logjam of the parliament, here is at least one minister showing genuine concern for the impasses. And he is no other than the Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, who has expressed his displeasure over the logjam of the parliament and wondered what he would show to the visiting students of Kendriya Vidyalaya into the Parliament House.

Participating at the event to mark the foundation day of the Kendriya Vidyalaya schools of the country, the minister strongly criticised the opposition parties for not allowing to function the parliament.

The minister expressed his concern on the impact it will have on the students visiting the parliament during these days. He wondered what he should show to school children from Kendriya Vidyalayas planning to watch the proceedings of the parliament. Students learning discipline in schools would come to parliament but they would return back learning indiscipline only, he said.

The minister said that in a democratic country people give their mandate and choose their leader and send them to Parliament to represent them. But if the opposition parties are not allowing to function the Parliment then it is an insult to the mandate and it is completely undemocratic.

Javadekar also expressed his hope that there would be pressure on the opposition parties. Parliament is the place where members give opinions and also oppose it in a democratic way. That is the essence of democracy. But not letting to function a democratically elected Government is really surprising.
