NEET PG 2022 exam is all set to be conducted on May 21, 2022. Even after repeated requests to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from student bodies and other prominent figures, the chances of postponement of the NEET PG 2022 exam are almost negligible now. Hence, it is the right time for all aspirants to take cognisance of their situation and sit for some last-minute revision. Here, you will get the expert opinion regarding NEET PG 2022 based on the previous year’s question paper analysis and topic-wise weightage.

NEET PG 2022: Previous Year's Difficulty Level

NEET PG 2021 was conducted on September 11, 2021. There were three papers in the exam - Part A, Part B and Part C. There were 200 questions (unlike the usual 300 questions) and the total score was 800 marks. According to the leading experts in the field of NEET PG Paper Analysis, the exam in 2021 was moderate to easy and had direct questions which could be cracked with preparation and basic knowledge.

According to experts, the previous years’ question paper was a moderately easier one in relation to the INI CET exam paper 2021 which was conducted in July 2021. There were less than 5% repeat questions which goes against the norm. No multiple correct answer questions were asked and there were also no match the following questions in the paper. Surprisingly, no Covid-19 related questions were asked.

Repeat questions might be less in number this year as well, according to experts who also believe that more emphasis could be placed on a lengthy paper since the duration has remained the same, even though the number of questions has decreased. Experts opine that the difficulty level will be moderate this year.

NEET PG 2022: Previous Year's Subject-wise weightage

The NEET PG 2021 subject weightage was different from the NEET PG 2020 paper. Around 40% of the questions were one-liner factual questions which were mainly memory-based, 20% of the questions were image-based and the rest were all clinical topics. The subjects that were mainly focused on include Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, PSM, Pharmacology and Pathology. There were very few one-liner questions for the candidates. Mainly, concept-based and logic-based questions were asked. In all, the NEET PG 2021 paper was moderately difficult for most students.

More concept and logic-based questions can be expected this year as well, with experts believing that more questions might be asked from Clinical concepts.
