<p>Devi Singh, the last permanent director of Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow (IIM-L), has completed more than a year after the term of ended in September 2014 will now be replaced by Ajit Prasad. He is a professor of Strategy at SP Jain Institute of Management in Mumbai. The official statement is yet to release.
According to the media reports, Prasad may join his office from next month. Being an expert on strategic management and corporate social responsibility, Prasad has also taught at reputed institutes in India and abroad, including IIM-Raipur and Delhi University. He also authored a dictionary on strategic management recently.
IIM-Lucknow has been working without a permanent director for the last one year. Senior most professor Rajiv Kumar Srivastava was given officiating charges of the institute till the permanent director acquired the seat.
Srivastava had suddenly stepped down, citing personal reasons in the month of July and following this, Bharat Bhaskar — senior professor of Information Technology at IIM-L — was made the interim director in July 2015. Bhaskar, reportedly a functionary of the RSS, continues to hold the post in the absence of a permanent director.
