NIT Trichy Collaborates with Tata Motors for Innovative Research
- NIT Trichy has collaborated with Tata Motors for joint research programmes in engineering technology and education.
- The focus will be on developing innovative research programmes that mutually benefit both NIT Trichy and Tata Motors.
National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichyhas signed a memorandum of understanding(MoU)withTata Motorsto introduce innovative programs in the fields of education and research. Both NIT Trichy and Tata Motors will focus ontechnological collaborationto meet the future engineering needs with respect to academics and engineering industry.
The main aim of theMoU between NIT and Tata Motorsis to promote interaction and work in the areas which are mutually beneficial for both. NIT Trichy and Tata Motors will also launch different research programs. The collaboration envisagesdevelopment projectand joint research programmes over a period of five years to develop new technologies in the field of engineering.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Mini Shaji Thomas, Director NIT Trichy and Gajendra Chandel, Chief Human Resource Officer, Tata Motors Ltd.
NIT Trichy Director said that the institute is excited about the new partnership with Tata Motors which is the pioneer company in the field of engineering technology. This initiative will also provide NIT students with relevantresearch opportunitiesand internship programs apart from making them industry ready.
