Day 2 of JEE Main 2022 has been conducted on June 24 for Paper 1 (B.Tech). The exam was held peacefully in all the cities across the country. As per the feedback received from students, the difficulty level of the Shift 1 exam was moderate and it was moderate in Shift 2. In all, the overall difficulty level of the June 24, 2022 exam was moderate.

The Shift 1 of June 24 JEE Main exam was balanced, and the difficulty level of all subjects such as Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics was moderate. Some students reported Mathematics was lengthy, but the paper was easier than the 2021 exam. On the other hand, Chemistry surprised everyone with a moderate difficulty level, and it was tougher than the previous year. Physics remained moderate.

Shift 2 of June 24 JEE Main exam was easier than the previous year, and the difficulty level was moderate. The physics difficulty level was easier than Mathematics. The difficulty level of Physics was easy to moderate, while Mathematics was moderate. Chemistry was moderate to easy. There were not many integer-based questions from Physical Chemistry.

In all, the Paper 1 exam on June 24 turned out to be easier than the 2021 exam. Last year, Mathematics was hard & lengthy, and students faced difficulty in answering all the questions. This year, Mathematics turned to be moderate in two shifts. 

Some of the topics that had maximum weightage in the Shift 1 and Shift 2 exam include –

  • Mathematics: Integration, Coordinate Geometry, Mathematical Reasoning, Vector 3D, Calculus, Algebra
  • Physics: Electromagnetic Waves, Electrostatics, Alternating Current, Magnetism, Projectile
  • Chemistry: Inorganic and Organic, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Polymers
