This year, the admissions to different colleges will be done through NEET. Parents said that there are a lot of doubts in their minds. Until they are cleared, their children will be in great confusions and anxieties. On Tuesday, 7th February 2017, students met the directors of the DMER and sought clarity on the issue. In a press release, the DMER had said that the admission to all medical colleges of the country will be done through NEET but the deemed universities and AIIMS will not come under the ambit of NEET. Parents demand that even the deemed universities and AIIMS should be brought under the ambit of NEET.

CBSE had announced that all the previous attempts for the examination will not be counted. But from 2017 onwards, candidates appearing for the medical entrance examination will have only three chances.
