There has been a slight improvement in the weather conditions on October 23, but heavy rains are still occurring in Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chennai and Chengalpattu regions. IMD withdrew 'Red Alert' for the majority of the districts. As of October 23, only 'Thiruvallur' is under the 'Red Alert'. As the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal is weakening, heavy rains might subside in Tamil Nadu.
