Tamil Nadu School Holiday Update 22 October 2025:
Heavy rains have been lashing Tamil Nadu for the past 2 days, and the rain conditions intensified from October 21 onwards. IMD has already flagged a few districts as 'Red Alert' districts due to the heavy rain. Heavy rains have been occurring in Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Trichy, Kancheepuram, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Thiruvalur, Thanjavur etc. As there is a chance of heavy rain on October 22, there is a possibility for a school holiday. However, the collectors of respective districts shall take a decision after assessing the rain conditions during the late night of October 21 and early hours of October 22. An official update on school leave shall be provided accordingly.
