The Indian Meteorological Department has declared certain districts of Tamil Nadu, namely Tiruchirapalli, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Puducherry, Ramanathapuram etc, under Red Alert. Heavy rains have been occurring in various parts of Tamil Nadu. Due to harsh weather conditions and flood-like situations,

. As the heavy rain conditions are likely to prevail on October 23, there is a chance for a school holiday on October 23. The collectors of respective districts shall take a decision on the school holiday after assessing the rain conditions during the early hours of October 23.
