5 districts of Tamil Nadu are receiving heavy rains, and 4 districts are under alert for heavy rains on October 28, and the similar conditions are expected to prevail on October 29 as well. was announced in Tiruvallur and Chennai districts. If the heavy rains continue till the late night of October 28 and early hours of October 29, there is a chance for a school holiday in 2-4 districts of Tamil Nadu. District Collectors shall take the decision on the school holiday announcement based on the rain conditions in their respective districts.
