Telangana Government Signs MoU with Microsoft to Help Students
The MoU will contribute to improving citizen services, healthcare, agriculture and education in the state.
The government of Telangana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft India. Under this MoU, Microsoft will help the government to explore machine learning, cloud and mobile-based solutions. The MoU will contribute to improving citizen services, healthcare, agriculture and education in the state.
The MoU has been signed in the presence of Jayesh Ranjan, IT Secretary, Telangana and Anil Bansali, Managing Director of Microsoft India (R&D). On this occasion, Ranjan said that the government of Telangana believes that ICT is the key to building a stronger economy as well as an effective and efficient governance system. Through this collaboration, the government is confident about bringing advanced solutions to the Digital Telangana Programme.

Anil Bansali indicated that over the past few years, Microsoft has experimented with the cloud, mobile and machine-based solutions for better citizen connect as well a to help farmers, patients and students in India. The company is delighted to implement many of those learnings in Telangana and explore new use for these world-class technologies.
After the bifurcation, Telangana has been playing a significant role in promoting ICT solutions particularly in the field of healthcare, education, agriculture and citizen service delivery. The government has achieved a milestone of 7 crore online transactions through MeeSeva. Telangana is miles ahead of other states with its robust citizen service delivery platform.

Recently, the state has launched an innovative ICT-enabled solution for government schools called Telangana State Computer Literacy and Skills in Schools (TS-CLASS) to revolutionise the way students are taught.
On the other hand, the state government collaborated with various partners to give a boost to IoT enabled solutions such as healthcare teleconsulting for remote geographers and online marketplace-cum-support platform for farmers.
