The High Court of Telangana directed the government to grant affiliations to 20 new B.Ed colleges as early as possible. The state government allegedly denied granting affiliations to these colleges. Hence, the authorities of these colleges approached the HC to seek approval. A bench comprising of Justice Ramchandra Rao said that the state government does not have the authority to deny affiliations, as these 20 colleges have already secured recognition from NCTE.
