TG TET 2026 Notification Released; Check Paper 1 , 2 eligibility criteria

The Department of School Education, Hyderabad, Government of Telangana, has released the
TG TET 2026 Notification
today,
November 14,
on its official website. According to the notification, the TG TET 2026 examination will be held from
January 3 to January 31, 2025
, in an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates who wish to become teachers for Classes I to VIII must complete their registration between
November 15 and
November 29, 2025.
Those who successfully qualify in the TG TET 2026 will be eligible to appear for the TG DSC Exam 2026.

TG TET 2026: Paper 1, 2 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check out the Paper 1, 2 eligibility criteria for TG TET 2026 here:
Educational Qualification for Paper 1 (Classes I to V): Candidates must have passed Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or an equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the required minimum is 45% marks.
They must also have completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, 4-year B.El.Ed, or 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
OR
Candidates should have passed Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum requirement is 40% marks.They must also have passed the D.El.Ed/D.Ed. course, along with completing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, 4-year B.El.Ed, or 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
Educational Qualification for Paper 2 (Classes VI to VIII): Candidates must have completed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.with a minimum of 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum required marks are 45%. They must also have passed a B.Ed.or its Special Education program.
OR
Candidates should have completed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with at least 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum requirement is 40%. They must also have completed a B.Ed./B.Ed. (Special Education) program
OR
Candidates with a 4-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. degree must have at least 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum is 45%.
OR
Candidates with a B.E./B.Tech degree must have at least 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum is 45%. They must also have completed a B.Ed. or B.Ed. (Special Education) program.
Additionally, Candidates who are in the final year of their B.Ed. or D.Ei.Ed are also allowed to appear for the TGTET exam. However, they cannot use the TG TET certificate to apply for the Teacher Recruitment Test until they complete the required qualification.
