The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the UGC NET exam 2022 on July 9, 10, 11 and 12 and on August 12, 13 and 14 respectively. With only a day left for the exam, it is important for aspiring candidates to conclude their final lap of revision and take a look at all the tips and tricks that will enable them to crack the exam and score well. The following are some of the last minute tips and tricks that can help you tap into your potential and ace the UGC NET 2022 exam:

Know the exam pattern and syllabus 

In the last couple of days before the exam, all aspiring candidates need to be super aware of the UGC NET Exam Pattern and UGC NET Syllabus to have a good hold over time management, marking scheme and important topics. The exam is held in the online computer-based mode and all aspirants get 3 hours (180) minutes to complete the examination. The examination has two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is a General Studies paper based on teaching aptitude while Paper 2 is a test of the course that the candidate has completed their post graduation in. The total number of questions in Paper 1 is 50 while in Paper 2, it is 100. The total marks is 300 (100 for Paper 1 and 200 for Paper 2). There is +2 for correct answer and no negative marking. You can appear for the exam in both English and Hindi. 

Solve previous years' papers and sit for mocks 

During the last phase of your preparation, it is essential that you take a look at the UGC NET previous years' question papers and UGC NET mock tests. Appearing for a couple of mocks and solving a few question papers will boost yout confidence and get you on the way to success. This trick will also help you to improvise as it upholds your weak sections. 

Time management is essential 

Remember to manage your time effectively and not spend too much time on just one question. It is important to answer questions with proper accuracy. Skip to the next question if you cannot understand a particular question. Read the questions carefully and then answer because sometimes the MCQ options are very similar. There is no negative marking so take note of that as well. 

Remember to take your admit card and identity proof to the exam centre allotted. Reach the examination centre well before the time mentioned.
