UP Boys’ Success Stories in JEE Main 2020
While Noida boy L Gokulnath scored 99.9993050 percentile, 5 others from the state also found a place in the list of 99 percentile scorers from UP list.
The success stories of Uttar Pradesh boys in the JEE Main 2020 exam is nothing short of astonishing. As many as 6 students from the state scored in the bracket of 99 percentile in the January 2020 JEE Main exam. Leading the list of toppers from Uttar Pradesh is L Gokulnath from Noida who missed out on the magical figure of 100 percentile by a whisker. He scored an impressive 99.9993050 percentile in the JEE Main 2020 (January) exam which was conducted between 06th and 09th January 2020.
Others like Srijay Singh Gusain of Lucknow, who scored 99.89 percentile, Amritesh Sharma with 99.87 percentile, Amit Kumar Pal with 99.86 percentile, Shashwat Gupta with 99.85 percentile and Ayush Kumar Dwivedi with 99.75 percentile completes the list of top performers in the JEE 2020 exam from the state. Only 9 students could muster the perfect 100 percentile score in this year’s JEE Main exam.

In an interview, Gokulnath said that although he rues over the fact that he could not score the perfect 100 percentile in the exam, yet it will give him an extra bit of motivation in the upcoming exams to touch the magical figure. He also said that his main priority is to prepare for the next challenge and not ponder over what went wrong in this exam.

Gokulnath has been in the limelight earlier on many occasions. In 2018, he amassed 99.4% in his class Xth exam and secured an AIR of 4 at the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana. In 2019, he became the state topper in class XIth exams. He dreams of studying Computer Sciences from one of the renowned IITs in the country.
The success story of the second in line Srijesh Singh Gusain is also somewhat similar. Scoring in the 99 percentile bracket means he can now pursue his lifelong dream of studying in one of the IITs. He also wants to explore all the higher study opportunities that a B.Tech degree from one of the IITs will open up for him. He harbours a noble dream of eradicating miseries of the country using research and technology. He said that NCERT textbooks are the best source to prepare for an exam like JEE Main.

Srijesh will appear in the April session of the exam too to improve his score and so will another top scorer from UP Amritesh Sharma, who scored 99.87 percentile in the JEE Main 2020 exam. He too wants to pursue studies in Computer Science from one of the top seven IITs.
