<p>Minister of IT and Panchayati Raj K.T. Rama Rao has inaugurated the Woxsen School of Business at Kankol in Municipally Mandal of Medak district on Wednesday 26th August. This is located at about 75 km away from the Hyderabad on the Mumbai highway. The school is the brainchild of UK-based entrepreneur and educationist, Praveen Pula.
Woxsen School of Business is the result of an investment of Rs. 200 crore, which acquired a land parcel of 200 acres in Kamkole Village in Medak District. In the next five years, the school will be getting over Rs. 300 crore investment by its promoter. Pula said, “We will be investing the additional funds in building infrastructure, hiring more faculties, nurturing entrepreneurs and investing in startups.” The main motto of the B-School is to create world-class entrepreneurs.
Pula said that the B-School has already provided a funding of Rs. 1 crore to a student’s business startup, Ormeal, which runs in the domain of baby food category. The startup will launch the products soon. Currently, Woxsen School of Business is offering one and two-year post graduate programmes in management having a capacity of total 100 students.
Prof. Steve Rogers from Harvard Business School says “Because schools were resolved in people, creating companies that will employee people and people who are employed, will be self-sufficient and will be able to take care of themselves. So Woxsen, being a new business school in India is on the verge of something very special and I was amazed when I read about its focus on entrepreneurship.”
