A total number of 964 students gained admission to Harvard College’s class of 2022. The administration has sent the notifications to all the 964 students on December 11, 2017. A total number of 6,630 students applied for Early Action programme of Harvard, out of which 964 students have been selected. Last year, 6,473 students applied for Early Action programme, out of which 938 were given admission.

Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Harvard, William R. Fitzsimmons revealed the class of 2022 would be one of the best classes in the in Harvard’s history. Students from diverse backgrounds across the world secured admission for the class of 2022. The wide range of their extracurricular and intellectual excellence combined with the diversity of their backgrounds and life experiences will add immensely to the education of associate classmates over the next four years, he added.
Out of 964 students, 58% have applied for the financial aid, and 13% of students have requested for the application fee waiver. The financial aid programme of Harvard played a magnificent role in attracting numerous outstanding students to apply early this year. Harvard launched financial aid initiative in the year 2005. So far, Harvard has granted nearly $1.8 billion to undergraduates through financial aid programme.

Out of 964 students admitted for the class of 2022, 24.2 percent are Asian-Americans and 13.9 percent are African-Americans. So far, women make up 47 percent of the admitted class.
The Early Action programme of Harvard is nonbinding and students are free to apply to other institutes as well to compare financial aid offers. May 1, 2018, is the national common reply date, beyond which students will not have a chance to apply for other institutes.
