Admission Notice- NIT Jalandhar Announces Admission for Ph.D Programs 2016
Dr B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar invites applications for admission to full time Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs in Engineering, Sciences, Humanities and Management for the academic session 2016.
Eligibility Criteria for
Engineering Programs: Candidates having 60% marks in masster’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant area of research along with bachelor’s degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.
Science Programs: Candidates having 60% marks in masster’s degree master’s degree in appropriate branch of Science
Humanities & Management Programs: Candidates having 60% marks in masster’s degree in Management/related areas of Management (Commerce, Public Administration, Engineering Law, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Economics, Business Economics, Sociology etc.) Management and 55% marks in Humanities or Social Sciences
How to Apply
Candidates can apply online from the website of the Institute
If the candidates are applying for more than one programme they have to submit in separate application forms.
Application fee of Rs.1000/ for general canddiates and Rs.500/- only for SC/ST candidates.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the score in the entrance test conducted by the respective departments.
The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test for general category students shall be 40% - 24 marks out of 60 .
For the final selectionshortlisted candidates will be called for the presentation and interview .

Friday, June 03, 2016. Display of list of eligible candidates:
Monday, July 19, 2016. Date of written test
Wednesday, July 20, 2016 and Thursday, July 21, 2016. Date of interview/presentation:
On Thursday, July 28, 2016 list of selected candidates will be displayed.
