Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur is inviting applications for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Public Administration, Rural Development, Sociology and Development Practice for the academic session 2016.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have obtained a master’s degree in the above mentioned areas and must have scored minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA (50% for SC/ST/Physically Disabled category) in the master’s degree.

- The candidate must send the filled in application form along with all the enclosures and a demand draft of Rs.500 towards application fees drawn in favour of the Director, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur payable at Sriperumbudur to the Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Pennalur, Sriperumbudur-602 105, Tamil Nadu.
Selection Procedure
- The selection of the candidates would be done strictly on the basis of the performance in the entrance test and personal interview conducted by the institute.
- The candidates who have secured M.Phil/JRF/NET/SLET are exempted from the examination.
Fellowship offered
A fellowship of Rs.13000/- pm + Rs. 24000/- contingency per year is offered by the institute to full time scholars who are not receiving any other fellowships from any other source.
