Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, popularly known as Agra University is yet to announce the final exam results of various courses. More than 1.5 lakh students of the varsity and affiliated colleges are still waiting for the results. The authorities of Agra University set June 15, 2018, as the deadline to announce the results. However, the authorities failed to announce the results and the deadline for the same has been extended by 15 days.
Until June 15, 2018, the varsity was able to announce the results of only 70 courses out of 86. Following the delay, the varsity will also have to deal with another problem, i.e., delayed academic session.
Public Relations Officer of Agra University, GS Sharma revealed that the varsity has completed the evaluation process on time. The delay is primarily due to the affiliated colleges (self-financed colleges) that have not sent the practical exam marks. The varsity is taking steps to ensure 100% declaration of results by June 30, 2018, he confirmed.
This year, close to 5.86 lakh students appeared for the main exams of the varsity. As per the information disclosed by authorities, the evaluation process was completed by the end of May. The varsity started to declare the results of all the major courses in the second week of June.
Registrar of Agra University, Mr. KN Singh mentioned that the results of some of the affiliated/ self-financing colleges are pending following the reports of unfair means during the exam. Other the other hand, irresponsibility of colleges in submitting exam fee and practical exam marks were other reasons for the delay in announcing results.
