The Telengana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced the exam date for Telengana EAMCET 2016. The exam date has been fixed as May 2, 2016. The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad conducts the exam for Telangana EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test).
Application Procedure
The application form can be obtained online by the first week of March.
The Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 (40% for the reserved category).
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate exam or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as main subjects along with Bio-Technology or Chemistry or Biology as the optional subjects.
- The candidate must have obtained the age of 16 years as on December 31 of the year of admission.
- There is no upper age limit.
The Exam Pattern
There would be a total of 160 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the paper where each question would carry 1 mark. There would be no negative marking. The exam would be of three hours duration and would be conducted in two languages, English and Telugu. Only at the Hyderabad centre there would be a choice of writing the EAMCET 2016 in Urdu language.
