Allahabad HC orders Revision of CLAT UG 2026 Answer KeyAllahabad HC orders revision of CLAT UG 2026 Answer Key: The Allahabad High Court has asked Consortium of NLUs to recheck CLAT UG 2026 Answer Key for a question, resulting in the postponement of third selection list. The merit list was scheduled to be released today, February 5, 2026. Those who secured a seat during the counseling process need not worry, but those planning to participate in subsequent rounds should wait a bit longer. The revised counseling schedule will be notified in some time at the official portal- consortiumofnlus.ac.in .
In its February 3 judgment, a single-judge bench of the Allahabad High Court directed the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to award marks for a disputed logical reasoning question (Question 9 in Booklet C and its equivalents across other sets) by treating both options ‘B’ and ‘D’ as correct. As per the High Court, previously, the consortium’s Oversight Committee overruled the recommendations suggested by the expert panel by not providing clear justification, which restricts the fairness of the evaluation.
Due to this order, CLAT UG 2026 third merit list and counselling schedule have been postponed until the scores are revised and ranks are recalculated. The Consortium of NLUs has decided to file a Special Appeal before a Division Bench of the same court, challenging the single-judge order, adding to under uncertainity in the process.
Students are advised to remain patient and regularly check official updates announced by the Consortium. The revised CLAT UG counselling 2026 schedule will be announced once correction of answer keys and revaluation of ranks are completed. Courts' intervention depicts how fairness is important to be ensured in a national-level entrance examination like CLAT.
