NEW DELHI: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducted the Amrita-Africa Collaboration meet 2022 whereby it offered an educational opportunity to 350 African students. The prime objective of the collaboration is to strengthen the Indo-African relationship in three areas - Research, Academics, and Healthcare. Amrita brought a 100% tuition waiver Chancellor scholarship for 350 meritorious and potential candidates, who have registered their names for different courses.
The announcement was made at the Amrita-Africa Summit on Monday. At that event, the chief guest was Shri V. Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, and ambassadors from 18 African nations. Apart from them, some special guests like Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, Vice Chairman of Mata Amritanandamayi Math and President of Amrita were present there.
At the press meet, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham proposed that it is going to collaborate with the top-level universities of Africa. So that the students can get a chance to show their academic excellence and can flourish in their career paths.
New opportunities
The scholarship will be offered not only for undergraduate and graduate courses but also for the doctoral programs. Some of the opportunities of the Amrita-Africa Collaboration meet are listed in the following section:

The Amrita-Africa collaboration can build a better world instead of making conflicts across the societies. Amrita also proposed that soon after African countries and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will make an official agreement in several fields of available study. This also includes the medical schools at Amrita Hospital.
