ANU Student Secures 22nd Rank in NET
Shiraz Ahmed a PG student of Arts Department secured 22nd rank in National Eligibility Test-2016(NET). The art department of university conducted a press meet on 26-March-2016 to congratulate the student.
Shiraz Ahmed belongs to a poor family where the father is a daily wage worker and mother is a house-wife. He has two sisters. He hails from a rural area Chandolu which is a backward village in Guntur District. His aim is to complete Doctorate in Philosophy and to become a professor.
Addressing the media Shiraz Ahmed said that, “I used to spend most of my time in the library to study books”. He also thanked the lectures of art department for their motivation and support.
He was congratulated by the vice chancellor of university, faculty of Arts department, parents and students.
