AP EDCET 2026 Exam Date Announced: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has released the AP EDCET 2026 exam date, marking an important update for aspirants seeking admission into B.Ed. and B.Ed. Special Education (H.I., V.I., and I.D.) programmes for the 2026–2027 academic year across institutions in the state. Beginning last year, candidates with B.E. and B.Tech qualifications have also been permitted to apply for AP EDCET, expanding the eligibility criteria. As per the official announcement, the examination will be held on May 4, 2026, allowing candidates adequate time to prepare and complete the necessary arrangements. The schedule provides nearly two months between the issue of the notification and the conduct of the exam.

The authority has further confirmed that the detailed AP EDCET 2026 notification, covering the eligibility requirements, syllabus, application procedure, and exam pattern will be released in February 2026. With the exam date now declared, candidates can focus on strengthening their preparation and planning their study strategy effectively.

For effective preparation, candidates are advised to thoroughly understand the exam pattern, syllabus, and marking scheme. The AP EDCET question paper comprises 150 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 150 marks. It is structured into three sections: General English (25 marks), General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude (25 marks), and Methodology (100 marks). The Methodology section includes subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Social Studies, or English, based on the stream selected by the candidate. The examination will be held in a computer-based mode, requiring candidates to respond to objective-type questions.
