The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Supplementary/ Betterment exams commenced on 24-May-2016. The examinations commenced peacefully across 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. However most of the students who registered for betterment did not attend the exam due to high temperature. The temperature at various cities and towns reached 46 degrees on Tuesday.
The examinations commenced across 119 centers of Krishna District. The first year examination commenced at 9.00 AM and continued till 12.00 AM. The second year examination commenced at 2.30 PM and continued till 5.30 PM. On the first day the examination for second language i.e. Telugu/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Sanskrit was conducted. A total number of 12,847 students registered for betterment examination but only 9,774 students attended the examination. In the afternoon session, a total number of 1,085 students attended the supplementary examination.
Most of the students from Vijayawada have been given examination centers far away from Vijayawada. Students faced difficulty in travelling to the examination centers which are out of the city.
Chief Superintendents have been appointed for all the examination centers to supervise the examinations. Sitting squads and flying squads have been appointed to inspect all the examination centers. The examinations will continue till 2-June-2016.
