Exemption from appearing for AP TET 2022

Teachers who were appointed before the NCTE Notification, dated: 23.08.2010 by the Competent Authority in Govt./ Local Authorities under the recruitment rules will be exempted from appearing for AP TET 2022. However, if the teachers from Private Unaided Schools may appear for State or Central TET exams. But for Private Aided Schools, teachers will have to appear for the State TET exam, i.e., AP TET 2022 exams.

AP TET 2022 Application Fee

The application fee for one paper for AP TET 2022 is INR 500/-. But for more than one paper, candidates will have to bear an additional INR 500/- for each paper. If any candidates apply for two papers, they must pay INR 1000/-, if they apply for three papers they will pay INR 1500/- and for all four papers for AP TET 2022, candidates must pay INR 2000/-.

Specifications to upload documents for AP TET 2022

For AP TET 2022 candidates will have to upload their passport photos and signatures. The size of the passport photo should be 3.5x3.5 cm. Candidates must place the photo on a white plain sheet. Under the photo, sign with a black or blue ballpoint pen. Scan the image and upload the document in .jpg format for not more than 50kb. The total size of the image will be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm only.

Can an applicant appear for more than one paper for AP TET 2022?

If the Candidates want to appear for Paper 1 A for classes 1 to 5, they may apply. If they want to apply for classes 1 to 5 for special education, they may apply for Paper 1 B. If the applicant wishes to apply for Paper 2 A, they will be eligible for Class 6 to 8 for subject teachers or language pandits. Applying for Paper 2 B, the candidate will be eligible for special education for Classes 6 to 8. However, if the candidate is eligible and fulfills the eligibility criteria for all the papers, he/she will have the liberty to choose one, more, or the papers to appear for. By choosing more than one paper, candidates will have to bear the application fee of each paper separately.

How to choose Language-I for AP TET 2022 (Paper 1 A & B, Paper 2 A & B)

AP TET 2022 offers the applicants the opportunity to choose their preferred language for Language -I. Candidates may choose any one from Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Odiya, and Sanskrit. However, the condition is that candidate must have pursued the language as the medium of education or at least till Class 10. This condition applies to applicants from the state board, CBSE, or ICSE board.

AP TET 2022: Structure & Pattern for Paper 2 B

• A total of 150 questions will be asked from 4 sections. 
• Exam duration will remain the same for 150 minutes. 
• The total marks will be 150 marks.
• Sections Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, and Language II (English) will have 30 questions for 30 marks each.
• Category of Disability Specialization and Pedagogy will be the fourth section with a total of 60 marks.

Follow the structure and pattern for AP TET 2022 Paper 2 A for classes 6 to 8 and particular subjects as well: 

• The question paper will have four sections. 
• All the questions will be in MCQ format.
• There will be a total of 150 questions for 150 marks. 
• Exam duration given is 150 minutes.
• First three sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, and Language II (English) will have 30 questions each.
• Section Four holds 60 marks for the subjects: Mathematics & Science Teachers/ Social Studies Teachers/ Language Teachers (Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English, Kannada, Odiya, Tamil, and Sanskrit). Candidates may choose one, depending on their preference.

Here is the structure and pattern that AP TET 2022 Paper 1 A for Class 1 to 5 will follow:

AP TET 2022 Correction Window

AP TET 2022 does not allow the candidates to modify/edit/correct their application forms after submission. Candidates will have to pay the Application Fee of INR 500/- and fill out a fresh application form. Therefore, it is advised to fill out the details carefully while filling out the application form.

Question Paper Pattern for AP TET 2022

AP TET 2022 question paper will have a total of 150 questions for 150 marks. The entire question paper will be divided into five sections, depending on the Paper the candidate is appearing for. Each section weightage is equal, therefore, 30 marks are allotted to each section.

Weightage for AP TET 2022 Scores in Recruitment Process

While recruiting, the District Selection Committee holds a 20% weightage of the AP TET 2022 scores. And the remaining 80% weightage is given to Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT). However, AP TET 2022 is the preliminary stage to appear for to be eligible to appear for the selection process.

Validity of AP TET 2022 Scores

AP TET 2022 scores will be valid for a lifetime. As per the notification released by the State Government, AP TET 2022 scores will be valid and candidates may use the scores for recruitment. However, if candidates wish to improve their grades, they may appear for the AP TET exams.

Which Paper to Appear for AP TET 2022?

AP TET 2022 will provide the candidates with four options to choose from. Each paper has different purpose and eligibility criteria to qualify to appear for the exams. 

• Paper 1 A: For Classes 1 to 5 Regular Schools.
• Paper 1 B: For Classes 1 to 5 for Special Needs Children.
• Paper 2 A: For Class 6 to 8 for Regular Schools.
• Paper 2 B: For Classes 6 to 8 for Special Needs Children and Language Teachers.

AP TET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has laid out detailed AP TET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 A, Paper 1 B, Paper 2 A, and Paper 2 B. Candidates must comply with the eligibility criteria to be eligible to apply. The minimum required qualification is 10+2 with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in education. Further, there are other options as well, depending on the paper applied for. Candidates must check the information bulletin for details.

AP TET 2022 exams will be conducted through CBT mode from August 6 to August 21, 2022, for different Papers. Exams will be conducted in two sessions; Morning Session is from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and the Afternoon Session is from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

When will the AP TET 2022 Online Fee Payment Option Open?

The Online Application Fee Payment for AP TET 2022 will open from June 15, 2022. Candidates must first pay the application fee to access the application form. Candidates will have to bear INR 500/- application fee to fill out the application form.
