The good news is that Berklee College of Music, in Boston Massachusetts in the United States of America is now offering an AR Rahman Scholarship to students from India.
Berklee is the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world best known for study in Jazz and modern American music. Berklee honoured AR Rahman with a doctorate in October 2014. Since then, the college and the maestro have cultivated a relationship to benefit students with the knowledge of music.
The institute has honed the likes of musicians like Quincy Jones, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford of Aerosmith, John Mayer, composer Howard Shore, and latest sensation Charlie Puth.
