Assam Floods: List of Affected NEET PG 2022 Exam Cities, High Risk Zones

NEET PG 2022 exam centers of Assam have been affected by the flash floods. Three districts: Kamrup Metro (Guwahati), Dibrugarh, and Jorhat are under a high-risk zone. 

NEET PG 2022: List of Affected Districts in Assam due to Floods, High-Risk Zones

NEET PG 2022 is scheduled to be held on May 21, 2022. The NEET PG 2022 Admit Cards were already released. The authorities have not yet responded to the plea of the aspirants for a postponement of the exams regarding the flood in Assam. Aspirants are still expecting that the authorities will take into consideration the situation in the flood-affected areas and take the necessary steps. It can be expected that the NEET PG 2022 will be postponed in the affected areas. 

List of Affected NEET PG 2022 Exam Cities due to Assam Floods

  • Currently, in Assam, 24 districts are majorly affected by floods and 3 districts are affected by landslides.
  • NEET PG 2022 exam centres in Assam are in five districts, namely, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Tezpur, Silchar, and Kamrup Metropolitan.
  • Out of these districts, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, and Kamrup metro are majorly affected by floods and are under the high-risk zone.
  • The water level of the Brahmaputra river in Jorhat has crossed the danger level. Floods have damaged many households, cattle, crops, communication, and roads. Most of the roads in the affected areas are submerged in water.

Amidst such a panic situation, it is impossible for the NEET PG 2022 aspirants to report to their designated exam centres. With roadways, and railways out of service, candidates will not be able to reach the exam centres.

NEET PG 2022 is a highly aspirated entrance exam by the young practitioners of Assam. Many aspirants have filled out the NEET PG 2022 application form to appear for the exam. If the situation pertains and does not see improvement or lowering of the water level or clearing of roadways, it will be difficult for aspirants to appear for the NEET PG 2022 exams. Hence, the aspirants' plea for NEET PG 2022 postponement.
