To be eligible for the exam, candidates must meet specific criteria. For educational qualification, Paper 1 requires a Bachelor's degree with 50% marks and B.Ed., or a Master's degree with 50% marks and B.Ed./BA B.Ed./BSc B.Ed. Paper 2 requires a Postgraduate degree with Second Division and a B.Ed. degree. The age limit is 21 years minimum, and the maximum age varies: 37 years for General males, 40 years for General females and BC/EBC, and 42 years for SC/ST candidates.
