CMAT 2022 Expected Cutoff: Know Marks vs Percentile Analysis

CMAT 2022 expected cutoff will help the candidates to estimate their performance and apply for their preferred colleges. The CMAT 2022 exam was conducted on April 9, 2022, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The CMAT 2022 results are likely to be declared in the last week of April by the NTA on the official website. After the declaration of the result, CMAT 2022 cutoffs will be released. Every college/institute will release the cutoff for the particular college/institute. Candidates qualifying the cutoff for any college must apply for the college and proceed with the further admission process.

However, CMAT results are calculated in percentile. Candidates may calculate their percentile with the marks obtained by them on the CMAT 2022 exams. Based on the percentile of the candidate, they must check out the available colleges. The CMAT 2022 cutoffs will be released as per the percentile and not the marks/scores for CMAT 2022.

How to calculate Marks vs Percentile?

The marks vs percentile technique are used to determine the performance of the candidate on a percentile basis and not as the scores received. However, candidates may estimate their percentile, as per their estimated scores based on their performance. The percentile received by the candidate will be considered for admissions to colleges accepting CMAT 2022 scores.

There is a standard formula to calculate the percentile from the marks. Also, candidates scoring the exact same marks will hold the same percentile and rank. Candidates with the same rank will be treated as the same, but the next rank will be allotted after the number of students with the same rank.

For example: If three candidates receive a rank of 15, then the candidate next will be ranked 18 and not 16.

Formula to Calculate Percentile,

Percentile (P) = 100 x (No. of candidates with raw marks equal to or less than the candidate/ Total no. of candidates who appeared in CMAT)

Candidates may try to calculate their percentile using this formula.
