Crescent Institute of Science and Technology Hosted its 9th Convocation Ceremony

 B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology hosted its 9th Convocation Ceremony on 5th October 2019. The Chief Guest for the convocation was Hon’ble Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology hosted its 9th Convocation Ceremony on 5th October 2019 in the campus itself. During the convocation, a total of 1396 graduate degrees awarded. Out of which, 996 were UG degrees, 379 were PG degrees and 21 were Ph.D degrees.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Hon’ble Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. He conferred the students with graduate degrees and delivered the convocation address. He said that India has a strong human resource approximately 500 million, below the age 25. The number is largest in the world. The achievements of Indian youth is scientific and technological field is known to the entire world. According to him, Science and Technology have always been an integral part of the Indian culture and some of the greatest scientists in the world are from India. He motivated the students to make these scientists their inspiration and guiding force.

Many eminent personalities were a part of the convocation ceremony including Mr Michael Aaron Nii Nortey Oquaye Esq., Honourable High Commissioner of Ghana to India, Mr BSA Arif Buhary Rahman, Chancellor, B.S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Pro-Chancellor & Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Prof. Ir. Dr Sahol Hamid Bin Abu Bakar,Dr. Sahol Hamid Bin Abu Bakar, Vice-Chancellor, B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology among others.

Dr. Sahol Hamid Bin Abu Bakar, Vice-Chancellor, B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, highlighted the achievements of the institution during the convocation. He informed that the varsity is always striving hard to provide better teaching-learning opportunities to its students. The courses offered by the institute are as per the industry needs which help students to be job-ready and enhance their professional skills.

During the 9th convocation ceremony, a total of 273 meritorious students won the cash prizes worth Rs.8.6 lakh for their outstanding academic performance in 2018-19. The faculty members of the institution were also recognised for their achievements. Around 70 faculty members were honored with cash prizes and certificates for their pioneer contribution to Teaching, Learning and research activities.
