CUET 2024: List of Changes Expected, Important UpdatesCUET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to bring a few changes to the Common University Entrance Test from 2024 onwards. The list of changes that are expected during, before, and after the conduct of CUET 2024 is stated here. The following initiatives will take place to improve the admission cycle and make it convenient for both students as well as universities. NTA decided to implement a better strategy in 2024 after the fiasco of the first edition in 2022 when the examinations experienced many technical glitches.
CUET 2024: List of Changes Expected
The list of changes expected for CUET 2024 is as follows:
Change 1 | The examination will NOT be conducted for a month, but will be concluded in two weeks. |

Change 2 | Candidates will NOT be required to choose 10 subjects from the syllabus, but only fix/six crucial subjects based on their preference. |
Change 3 | The syllabus for all subjects will be modified into a rationalized one. |
Change 4 | The participation of the total number of universities will improve in 2024 from 90 to 242. |
Change 5 | Students will get more options while selecting universities for UG and PG admission. |
Change 6 | The result date will be announced during the registration so that the universities can plan their admission cycle accordingly. |

As the syllabus will be compressed, candidates will be required to study the chosen subjects in detail to pass the test. Therefore, the universities will get good-quality students.
The total number of universities participating is 242 currently, but can escalate up to 300.
