ANU's Department of Journalism Conducted Guest Lecture

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Acharya Nagarjuna University organized a guest lecture on “Influence of Dr.BR.Ambedkar on today’s youth”. The guest lecture was organized as a part of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr.BR Ambedkar which is on 14-April-2016. The department has been organizing various competitions for the past one week. The guest lecture was delivered by Mr.Venkat Rao, Executive editor, Prajashakthi.

Addressing the students he said, “The Nation is proud of Dr.BR Ambedkar who rendered his valuable services and worked for the cause of backward classes. During those days, the influence of media was very less and there was less scope for people to know about the happenings of the freedom struggle. But nowadays due to the influence of media everything is coming into the limelight and it’s because of the efforts of media, today’s youth and children know who Dr.Ambedkar is and about his services. Today’s youth must take Dr.BR Ambedkar as inspiration as he faced a lot of hurdles in life and became an IAS office. During those days becoming an IAS office was not an ordinary task”

Prizes were distributed to the winners of literary competitions. The guest lecture was felicitated by the department. The guest lecture was attended by both the faculty and students.
