Engineering Admission Process Begins

The Directorate of Technical Education ( DTE ) in Maharashtra would start with the engineering admissions process from Thursday 2nd June 2016 with online registration for admissions.

DTE would release the entire schedule.The schedule has already been posted on DTE website for the convenience of the aspirants.

The centralised admission process (CAP) would commence with confirmation of online application form from June 2-16 while provisional merit list will be out on June 19. After submission of grievance application, the final merit list will be declared on June 22.

The entire process would be completed before August 15, which is the deadline set by Supreme Court for completing admissions to professional courses.

This year there will be total four rounds in the DTE admission process.

Admissions (CAP) schedule

  • Confirmation of online application form June 2-16;

  • Display of provisional merit list June 19;

  • submission of grievance application June 19-21;

  • Display of final merit list June 22; online submission & confirmation of option form* June 22-25;

  • Display of provisional allotment of CAP Round-I — June 27; reporting to institutes for CAP Round-I June 28-May 5;

  • Display of provisional allotment for CAP Round-II July 7; reporting to institutes as per CAP Round-II July 8-12;

  • Display of provisional allotment for CAP Round-III July 14; reporting to institutes as per CAP-III July 15-18;

  • Display of vacant seats of CAP Round-IV July 20; online submission & confirmation of option form July 21-24;

  • Display of provisional allotment for CAP Round-III July 26; reporting to institutes as per CAP-IV July 27-29; commencement of new academic year August 1; cut-off date for all type of admissions August 14.

No student will be eligible for admission after cut off date 14th August 2016.

This year DTE also made a major change in the process that the student taking admission under management quota in the institutes will also have to compulsory register in the process of taking admission.

Previous to this year it was not mandatory for students taking admission under management quota in the institute.
