The core committee for the CBCS (Choice Based Credit System), Delhi University has recommended starting lessons on Facebook Post writing for Literature students. DU has also been suggesting to start a similar course as part of academic writing programmes for the students of the English Department.

The department has also sent a detailed proposal mentioning the recommendations to all the colleges affiliated to DU that offer the English Honours programme. The university seeks feedback from these colleges regarding lessons on writing Facebook Posts.

Explaining the motive behind such lessons, a senior official of the English Department said that writing is not restricted to fictional or constant non-fictional books.

The final framework will be designed once the feedback has been received by all the colleges and will be presented before the Academic and Executive Council for final approval, she added. The deadline for receiving the feedback is May 1.
