On the occasion of Mental Health Day, Gujarat University announces the launch of a new Post Graduate Diploma course in Clinical Hypnotherapy. The announcement was made at a two-day international conference on Mental Health held on 10th October 2019. Holistic Foundation of India co-hosted the conference with GU. The PG Diploma is going to start in the month of December 2019.
Himanshu Pandya, Vice-Chancellor of Gujarat University told leading daily about course details of the Clinical Hypnotherapy where he mentioned that there will not be any age bar on applicants. The course would accommodate 30 students who have a basic knowledge of psychiatry and hypnosis. Clinical Hypnotherapy is currently in huge demand among practising doctors and clinical psychiatrists.

Clinical Hypnotherapy deals with the use of Hypnosis in treatment practises of a variety of psychological symptoms. Subjects or Patients are taken to a deep level of relaxation using hypnosis in order to reduce their stress and anxiety levels.
Candidates willing to help people with personal growth with the help of hypnosis can pursue the GU PG Diploma course in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Personnel involved in some medical profession like Nurse, MD, Chiropractor, among others can use Hypnosis to become a medical practitioner or expert in this field. However, to become a Hypnosis counsellor, candidates must have a background in Clinical Psychology or General Counselling.

GU will shortly be releasing the notification and course details of PG Diploma course in Clinical Hypnotherapy. The notification will contain details of the course like - Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus and Important Dates.
