About The Seminar

Gender Sensitization is a means towards gender equality, equal opportunity and women empowerment which is essential for creating inclusive sustainable development. Empowering women is an indispensible tool for advancing development and reducing poverty. Although the state government and central government are making continuous efforts in order to realise the objective of gender objectivity, the success id patchy and still a large population of women are suffering from poverty, poor health, oppression and violence. The proposed seminar is an attempt to discuss the burning issues in relation to gender discrimination, awareness and women empowerment so that the outcomes can be translated into specific tools to be used in specific policy formulation of gender issues.
