Reputed Company HCL conducted a mega placement drive at West Godavari Institute of Science and Engineering on 4-June-2016. Interviews were conducted by the regional head of HCL, South India, Mr. Karthik. Officials of the company were welcomed in a grand manner by the college management and students. Final year engineering students of West and East Godavari participated in the placement drive. Officials of the company introduced the company and explained the process of interview.
Four rounds of interview were conducted which included a preliminary online test, technical round, JAM and a personal interview. The placement drive received a grand response as around 400 students participated in the placement drive. Out of them only 10 students secured jobs in the final round i.e. personal interview. Selected students were congratulated by Regional Head of the company and then he gave them their offer letters.
Mr. Karthik, Regional Head addressed the gathering on this occasion. He said, “HCL has been providing employment opportunities for 700 candidates every month. The students are good at technical skills but not in the communication skills. Most of the students are not able to communicate in English and failing in group discussions, JAM and personal interview. Very less students are securing jobs in the placement rives conducted by HCL”. He advised the students to improve communication skills.
