Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced new courses for the session of January 2016 while applications have been invited from candidates interested therein.
S. Raja Rao, who is the Regional Director of the university’s Visakhapatnam regional center said that Certificate in Maternal and Child Health Nursing, Certificate in Newborn and Infant Care, and Diploma in Critical Care Nursing were the courses that were introduced for this session by the university.
“These courses are in addition to the other regular courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels. Diplomas and postgraduate diplomas are also being offered in various streams,” he said. He further commented that regional specific courses were also being introduced by the university.
“We have introduced certificate courses pertaining to the power sector. Plans are afoot to introduce some more tailor-made courses for the benefit of our students,” he added.
