IIM Kozhikode and NIETT have signed an MoU to exchange the best practices of leadership and management. The MoU was signed by the directors of IIM Kozhikode and NIETT.
IIM Kozhikode (Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode) has collaborated with the Naval Institute of Educational and Training Technology (NIETT) to exchange the best practices in the domains of educational psychology, instructional leadership, and management. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, and Commodore Ben H Berson, Director of NIETT.
According to the official statement, IIM Kozhikode’s Kochi campus will operate in providing the training. The collaboration will allow IIMK to extend the best in the industry and higher education. It will help the Indian Navy participants to attain excellence, improve their training practices, and add to their learning skills.
Further, the collaboration will also allow some of the NIETT faculty and some selected Naval Officers to join any management programme at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) for a period of 3 years. The time period can be extended too.

Debashis Chatterjee states that the MoU will ensure that the participating naval officers of NIETT, achieve the best academic expertise that will cover the education in management, research, training, and teaching. He adds that this collaboration will surely provide the best practices in management and leadership in the future. Further, to commemorate the 25th year of the IIM Kozhikode, the institute is privileged to participate and offer its part in building and training the defence forces of the country. He also glorifies the naval forces for their level of dedication, innovation, and skills to protect the country’s business across the shores of the world.
To add to it, Commodore Ben H Berson states that the collaboration with IIM Kozhikode will help expand its knowledge to train the forces of the country and other friendly foreign countries in the leadership and management domains.
