IIM Trichy Begins 2nd Batch of PG Certificate Programme in Strategic Management

Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) inaugurated the second batch of the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Strategic Management (PGCSM) on March 26, 2022. Shri K Vaitheeswaran, co-founder and CEO, of Again Drinks, was present as the Chief Guest at the inauguration ceremony. Professor Bipin Dixit urged the students to be proactive and be willing to learn and explore opportunities in different domains during the course of this programme. Dr. Nagendra Chowdhary from Times TSW prioritised the importance of strategy in enhancing one’s analytical abilities.

IIM Trichy had collaborated with the technology and outreach partner Times TSW to offer the first batch of the programme, graduating in December 2021. The second batch of the programme comprises 44 candidates who possess an average work experience of around 12 years. They belong to 19 different industries including management consulting. Managerial positions or even higher designations are held by 72% of the batch. Females constitute 11.4% of the batch.

• The PGCSM curriculum is designed in such a manner that it offers a variety of concepts or ideas that equip senior leaders with the expertise to make decisions and judgments faster, come together to work effectively in an environment that shares an interrelationship, and become an impactful leader acting as a skilled supervisor of organisations. 
• PGCSM focuses on the concepts of business strategy, throwing light on how crucial are the roles of innovation, customer centricity, design thinking, etc. in the creation of effective and integrated strategies. 
• The PGCSM programme is participant-centered and practice-oriented pedagogy
• The programme focuses mainly on the strategies and competencies designed exclusively for the participants in the field of strategic management.
