Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has emerged as the winner of Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2017, declared at its grand finale event. As a prize dedicated towards the win, the IIT Bombay team has won an all-expense-paid trip to the Scandinavian country. The Embassy of Sweden organised the quiz competition as a part of the Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Week.
The team from IIT Bombay comprising of students namely - Soham Dibyachintan, Kavin Aadithiyan and Jibitesh Behera answered brain-teasers put forth by Seema Chari who was the Quiz Master for with the finale that took place at Indraprastha College. As a part of the prize, the winners will get an opportunity to visit Swedish universities, Nobel Museum and collaborating companies.

Nobel Memorial Quiz is a popular event among the university and college students which provides them a unique opportunity for students to test their knowledge with respect to Nobel Laureates (and their achievements) and Nobel Prize. The participants are also asked general questions on Sweden, its people and culture, Swedish inventions and innovations.
The Nobel Memorial Quiz is open for all the UG and PG students from universities and institutes across the country, the qualifying rounds of which are held in eleven cities. It is not merely a quiz competition but also includes panel discussions, seminars and cultural performances. Renowned Swedish companies are the sponsors of the quiz competition.

The preliminary qualifying round of the Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2017 took place at Indian Institute of Management, Indore on August 2, 2017.
