IIT JAM 2022 result is expected to be out anytime soon. The final answer key of IIT JAM 2022 has been released on March 17, 2022. The result declaration date according to the official website is March 22, 2022. However, since the IIT JAM 2022 answer key is already available, the result is likely to be released anytime now. The provisional answer key of the exam was out on February 20, 2022.
Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their respective IIT JAM result 2022 by visiting the official website and entering the application number and date of birth. IIT Roorkee, which is the conducting body of the entrance exam, will release the result in the form of a rank cum merit list. It will contain the qualifying status of applicants.
Steps to download IIT JAM 2022 result
In order to download the result of IIT JAM 2022, the following steps need to be followed by the candidates:
- Visit the official website of IIT JAM, i.e. jam.iitr.ac.in.
- Click on JAM 2022: Candidate Portal.
- Enter the Enrolment ID / Email ID and Password.
- Evaluate the value of the arithmetic expression and enter it on the screen.
- Select the ‘Submit’ option.
- The IIT JAM 2022 result will be displayed on the screen.
- Check the qualifying status, download the result and take a few printouts for future reference.
IIT JAM 2022 result tie-breaker policy
If there is a tie between the aggregate scores of two or more candidates, the applicants with a higher ratio of positive score than negative score will be given a higher rank. In case this criterion does not break the tie, all the aspirants will be awarded the same rank.
An all-India merit list is prepared after the IIT JAM result 2022 declaration. The AIRs provided to the candidates will be considered to prepare the IIT JAM 2022 merit list. The total number of candidates mentioned in the merit list of the exam will depend on the seats available in each category (SC, ST, OBC-NCL & PwD) in the given subject.
All applicants who have been allocated an AIR will be considered eligible to apply for admission in the desired courses offered at institutes accepting IIT JAM score 2022.
IIT JAM is an entrance test held by IIT Roorkee for admission to M.Sc. (2 Years), M.Sc. PhD, M.Sc. M.Tech, Joint M.Sc. PhD, and other PG level degree courses offered by IITs and IISc.
